Health and Safety
The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft has a comprehensive Health and Safety Policy and has strict guidelines covering all of its operations.
All operating trolleybuses at the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft are subject to an annual check and are stringently tested before they are passed as being fit to carry passengers.
Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme (VAQAS)
Periodically, the Museum takes up the VisitEngland’s Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme (VAQAS). We have passed the scheme's requirements in all their visits so far, the latest one being in September 2014. Of course, the scheme highlights any deficiencies that might arise, and this gives us the opportunity to put right any problems that might be perceived by our visitors.
Operation and Funding
The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft is operated entirely by volunteers. The Museum is funded entirely from the efforts of its volunteers. When deemed appropriate for specific projects, the Museum may seek grant funding from external bodies.
