Make a Donation
We have set an appeal target of £100,000 to enable
Johannesburg 589 to be fully restored to first class running condition.
We welcome all donations to this worthy cause and are pleased
to report that we have already received several very substantial and
generous contributions to this appeal.
If it suits you, you could set up
a standing order to make regular contributions to the appeal. Click

Donations can be made by various methods, and remember,
if you are a UK tax payer, Gift Aiding your contribution will enable a
further 28% in tax reclaim to go towards 589’s restoration appeal. Click

If you are a UK Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax payer (and,
importantly, this includes tax paid on any savings account interest !),
then at no extra cost to you, by completing a Gift Aid declaration and
returning it to The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft, the Museum can claim an
extra 28% of your donation and will transfer it to the Johannesburg 589
Fund.
And if you pay tax at the higher rate, you can offset Gift Aided
donations against the tax you pay via your self assessment tax return.
