How To Find Us

By Road

From the M180 Junction 2 take the A161 south to Belton; turn right at the mini roundabout and follow the road for approx 2.5 miles. The Museum is on the right. There is plenty of free parking.

By Bus

Sandtoft isn't served by public transport on open days so every Saturday we provide a connection to public bus services at Thorne; click here for details.

On Sundays marked "Free Bus" in the Events Calendar and Bank Holidays we run a free bus service from and to Doncaster Interchange and details can be found here.

By Coach

Coach parties are welcome onm any of our open days, but please contact us first so that we can reserve parking.

By Rail

Doncaster is the nearest mainline railway station; it is on the East Coast Main Line. Buses (see above) run from Doncaster Interchange which is next door to the station.

Why not volunteer at the Trolleybus Museum?

Although the Museum is closed to the public we still have a small army of volunteers working on a variety of tasks including essential site maintenance, vehicle restoration work and improving our visitor facilities.

If you'd like to help please contact us at trolleybus@sandtoft.org
